Boomr takes responsibility for the climate by supporting Swedish carbon storage

At Boomr AB, we have chosen to invest in Swedish carbon sequestration and be part of the transition to a more sustainable agriculture. Through our investment in the Swedish Carbon Sequestration Transformation Programme, we are helping to support Swedish farmers in their efforts to increase carbon sequestration, improve soil health and promote biodiversity.

Increasing soil carbon will bring both environmental and economic benefits in the long term, but we recognise that the transition can present challenges and costs for farmers. Through our investment in the Transformation Package, we are empowering them to take major steps towards more sustainable agriculture. At the same time, cutting-edge farms will have the opportunity to test new innovative practices that drive the development of carbon sequestration and soil health.

Our commitment also includes contributing to training, collaboration and knowledge sharing to create new solutions and spread best practices. Svensk Kolinlagring is an independent, non-profit organisation that works to mitigate climate change, increase soil fertility and strengthen ecosystem services for a sustainable food system.

The programme is designed in line with established standards such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the GHG Protocol. Two thirds of our investment goes directly to farmers to support their work, while one third is used by Swedish Carbon Storage to ensure measurement, verification, training and further development of the programme.
